We have already known how to export Analytics reports into PDF, comma separated values (CSV), tab separated values (TSV) or Extensible Markup Lnaguage (XML) by using the common Export buton. We want to present in this post a different way to download and export data of you GA account in a spreadsheet of Excel and have the ability to manage it.
With Excellent Analytics we are going to change, add or delete any data, dimension or metric in order ro visualize data in the best way we consider. This tool allows to add filters to obtain your own graphics and reports.

It is a open source too, so it is free both, for companies and any type of users. We can remark, among others, the next features:
- Building customized consults of all the dimensions and metrics in GA.
- Applying filters to create any data in a unique consult.
- Storing all the consuls in the spreadsheet.
- Using an Excel tool brings you some advantages:
- a well-known environment (Excel)
- the ability to combine multiple sources
- the possibility to use the mathematic tools by Excel to make more precise calculus
- the option to share workbooks with other users
If you are decide to use this plug-in you can download it here: http://excellentanalytics.com
When you have already downloaded and installed the plug-in, you shall restart Excel and configure the account you want to import to collect the data. You will have to input email and password.
Then, when you will be logged in your GA account, you will have to select the time range to be analyzed. You will be able to choose the dimensions, metrics and filters that you need to extract the information, by this way you will work in a more personalized way.
After this you are ready to export your reports by using this plug-in by Excel.

I think it is enough with the option by GA to export data in Excel, if we overload Excel with plugins finally GA is going to be lower .
Very useful plugin but I think it is not necessary if we can extract this info with GA tools. But anyway thank you for share this info.
