One of the most common situations is finding a programer who, tired of working for others, starts an online business on his own.

Generally the big mistakes that these entrepreneurs make when starting a business online are because they believe, or have heard, that behind this business there are many visitors and money, but they have no real experience in that business. Even if you’re a great programmer and you deal with a SEO & Social Media strategy properly and you offer a wide range of products or services, probably you will probably won´t achieve or exploit all the possibilities.

If you want your business run on the Internet correctly it’s important to know your potential customer, what are their interests, their needs, their motivation to buy and also what are the strategies of your competitors, what they are offering, etc.

It is therefore vital that you consider these points:

  • Business Plan
  • Study the feasibility
  • Ask known and unknown people
  • Contrast the information with experts
  • Find a partner who complements you. A computer specialist will not complement you, that’s what you are.
  • Look for investment that allows you to develop the business with no problems or economic burdens. Even if you don’t believe in it a business angel will detect all the weaknesses of your project and could tell you if it is viable
  • Finally you have to work hard, believe in the project and search for tons of excitement.

Incredible article! that must be obbligatory for every new entrepreneur and the most difficult thing to achieve is to have “tons of excitement” to spread…but nothing is impossible, we need just to do it!
